An Ode to the Sad

This is dedicated to all those people dealing with mental struggles, all those who struggle to have faith in life. Life is worth the hope, it's worth a second chance.
Oh how I wish I could show to you,
All the simple marvels you fail to see.
The smell of rain, the touch of grass,
The sweetest woodland symphony.
Your eyes have seen abandonment,
Your heart you've locked and sealed away.
But I see all your trauma's deeds
In your bleakness, disarray.
Hope appears foreign and joy feels lost,
I see the abyss in which you've drowned.
Your path is fogged, your sky is grey,
Tears dried up from the many moons mourned.
It hurts my heart to see you bleed,
Your countenance, vacant, just you exist.
I wish to show you what your eyes don't see,
The ecstasies of little miracles, longing to be noticed.
The mellifluous melodies of summer windchimes,
The vanilla scent of warm baked bread
The floating white cottons on the vast blue sky,
And little dust specks on sunrays spread.
I promise, dear friend, I promise to you,
To show you all that which make life worth living.
The simple pleasures your monsters hide,
Rebel and show itself for I keep believing.
I will fight your darkness, I will show to you,
Life is beautiful even when skies are grey,
Trust in me, friend for I can surely vouch,
That life is beautiful for I will always stay.
